French inspiration

After collecting so many magazines in France I noticed the use of Grey in a lot of decorating. I just love this room with the dark charcoal walls with the contrast of the raw oak, lots of natural light could easily pull this off as a striking color to use in interiors.

My theory with grey is this - all the lovely zinc/tin roofs of Paris turn a lovely grey and this is why they use it! LOL

There is a French Grey apint colour which is divine. Like you say, there would have to be loads of light to pull it off on a large scale...maybe thats why they have those delicious windows and doors all over France.

I love that word - 'greige', it describes the French colour very well - that beige and grey blend that they have mastered so beautifully.
